Apple announced today that they have sold 2 million copies of leopard already. Pretty good for about five days. If you think about 2 million you must be thinking wow 2 million people decided to buy Leopard. Well, there are many ways people could have bought leopard. Paying for the full price for x-serve, or the regular one or five user disk. What about the many early iPhone adopters that want Leopard? You must be thinking what does the iPhone have to do with this? Well, they received $100 in store credit. They can use that and thirty bucks to get there hands on the single user version. Did you get your Mac after October 1st? If you did you can get your hands on a single-user version of Leopard for only $9.95. That means you cant say $129 x 2 million. We cant really be sure how many people used all of the methods listed to get Leopard. But lets just say that it averages to about $100. 100 x 2 million = $200,000,000 in five days. Talk about tons of profit.
